I'm in the middle of act 3 and still not sure where this game stands in terms of balancing. Can I keep all the women that I meet, or will I at some point have to give some up for other resources because I'll lose otherwise?

Assuming you’re on “dark fantasy” (because this is a non-issue with “power fantasy”), if I recall correctly, you can get by without sacrificing anyone (for resources at least) if you use a guide to know exactly what skill points you want to get and when, and you ally yourself with everyone and kiss a lot of ass (promise to give the wolves the wasteland, the thieves the port town, etc.).
Yeah, I'm on dark fantasy, though I haven't had a guide. The one I saw mentioned in a few comments no longer exists. Some might say it will ruin the experience, but frankly, I'm loading saves all over the place already trying to see what outcomes I get. I'm greedy like that. By thieves, do you mean that large crew at gutters cove, or the twins? I'm not sure what to do with the twins yet. Keeping them gives me the feeling they'll escape sooner or later, but I'm not sure if I'll ever see them again if I let them go.

1st game where I've had little issue doing all the fucked/weird stuff. Outside of eating Darja limb by limb. Couldn't stomach that one for long, doing such a thing to her. I normally go vanilla (well I'm still mostly doing that, I am who I am) because I can't bring myself to do otherwise. But with how easy it is to backtrack without issue. My curiosity to see how everything plays out. Wins out over my normal disgust. Like it is surprising how much of this doesn't bother me.
I do have one minor gripe though. Concerning Marie-Anne and the wolf. Not the act (surprisingly) but how if you let it happen, come out afterwards, and say you don't like it. It can happen again, voice your displeasure, but not much comes of it. The text sorta reads like it does. But the game doesn't really seem to acknowledge the 1st slip up. Which is unfortunate. Considering her response to being found out the 1st time. And both times involving the same wolf. It could've been an interesting situation.

Brought it up as well ages ago and got bashed for it. Dunno why people are so defensive of this.
You have the cartoonish portait and standing art (by far the better and polished style) but for the actual CGs you have this weird and bland painting style. They don't match at all and to this day I don't understand why they thought this is a good idea and will always be my biggest criticism to the game.
The majority of the time you see the portraits just by playing the game but the sex scenes are few and between so when you actually does see a sex scene it just.....clashes because you are more used to the portrait style.
Couldn't the artist that did the characters draw no H content? Even if you include the factor money......at the very least I would have tried to find someone that has more matching styles.
Not sure which game you are playing but last time I checked we are in the last act of the game. Act V to be precise. There is not this much to unfold anymore.
Actually, if I am not misinformed, from what I read the game should have been even finished this summer so.....yeah they missed that deadline xD

(Bypassing the other complains) The final portion of a game being delayed isn't a very big deal compared to what we're seeing from other dev teams. Twisted World completely restarted and is moving at a snail's pace. There are rumors that people are starting to demand refunds; if true then things have gotten bad.

As much as it sounded like it but the bit about the completion of the game was no complaint. Just an additional bit of information to that dude I quoted.
Also at first I thought I never heard of Twisted World so I went and checked it out but I remembered really quickly that this was the game with heavy futa and femboy kinks. Two things I don't seek in my games so I relatively quickly forgot about it again.
Yeah completely starting from scratch and then don't or just deliver slowly will always be a low blow. If the refund bit is true then people are really pissed. Normally Patreons are the biggest yes sayers and rarely complain.
Not at all, it has been made plentifully clear if you are keeping up with proper patch notes. Why they havn't been on Patreon much, not sure, but check out the steam page for them even if not getting the game through there as they update every time they drop content. As on NOW, we are officially moving from Act 5 of Chapter 1 to, with the next update, Act 1 of Chapter 2. but with the plan to continue to fill in Chapter 1 as Chapter 2 progresses.
As far as the completion bit, you both ARE and ARN'T misinformed, based off what seems to be your current misunderstanding. They did plan on having CHAPTER 1 finished by this summer, and they "kinda" did but mostly in the Skeleton sort of way. unfortunately they seemed to have a lot of interruptions, most of the people getting sick variety, and (i don't fully remember, might have been another game) potentially a major crew member having a loss in family. AKA life happened its a little behind but not too much. They had been for the last half year or so "Filling" in and updating Chapter 1 so that it had as much of the content that actually had planned for it. But due to them promising that they would have been in, and having plenty of their fans waiting on, Chapter 2 they decided to postpone the normal filling in updatewith a heaftier ACT of Chapter 2 update, hence the current lack of updates for the last few months. Ill see if I can copy and paste the Notes from July about the topic.

Greetings from the smut-forge! It’s looking fairly good over here – all the fires have been put out, and our kobolds are (very) hard at work. I’m not going to linger overlong on the calamitous month of May, besides to tell you that all of our problems have now been sorted and that I’m still very grateful for all the support that you’ve shown us.
We were able to get a reasonably chonky build out last month, which I am proud of, but it has also impressed upon me the need to focus. You might be experiencing a bit of ‘update fatigue’ while waiting for Chapter Two, which I think is reasonable. For that reason, I have decided that
our next update will be Chapter Two
. We will halt our monthly update cycle to free up all of our resources, and fully commit them to the task at hand.
And gosh, what a task! A novella’s worth of court events, new interactions and scenes and costumes for our harem, and new developments amidst the various powers that brought you to the throne. And new offspring! Our lead writer Mattrex has been drafting this monster of an update since last year, and Irrelevant Art has been spending that time getting all our art assets ready. The principal bottleneck has been my own availability, which will now be laser-focused upon getting everything finaled and tested and ready for your enjoyment.
That means this is likely the last you’ll hear from me for a little while. I’ll return, triumphant, when we’re ready to finally turn that page. Until then, I hope you enjoy exploring what we’ve already created – there’ll be a lot more of it, soon.
So yeah in the next few Months we will officially be in Chapter 2 of if i remember potentially 3 Chapters. We are prone to get ALOT of new content in the future, assuming the minimal amount of IRL calamities, since we Stan for in game ones, If you know what i mean lol.

Oh...ohhhhh thanks for clarifying. So they go that route. Dunno if this has been explained explicitly that way somewhere but my information gathering is rather limited because I am not a patreon and adult content is region blocked for me in steam.
Was it always the plan to have chapters?
Also what a dumb decision to dish out an update of chapter 2 first instead of finishing Act V of Chapter 1. People will be playing backwards with the update after that?
From what I gathered however from the patch notes here on F95 I always thought that Act V is the end of the game....which sounded plausible because the game is 5 years in the making now.
Now with the knowledge that another chapter of the game is in development we can add another 5 years on top of it or what?
Lets be honest this is madness. Imagine 10 years for a finished product. 10 years. Possibly 15 if you add a third chapter.
Also Chapter 1 can't be viewed as a self contained experience because from how I understood it Chapter 2 is a direct continuation.
There are things like overdoing stuff and Ravager starts to feel like it.
I joke around sometimes that nowadays western porn games feel like live service games with no end in sight but sadly this is becoming the reality it seems.
Time to remove my bookmark for this game and forget about it I guess since I decided a long time ago to pay and play only finished games for my own mental well being and this is starting to look like a never ending story sry.

If that's your thing then oh well, your pool of available content will just be limited. Many of the games that come through here (even those of fantastic quality), tend to be from small studios that cant do more than small consistent updates due to literally a lack of man power to make the whole game at once. Most of the people that do this "Live service" release schedule are MORE than aware that most people wont spend money on their patreon, and wait until the games completion to touch or buy it , if they do at all. Heck MANY creators deliberately come to F95 to provide updates knowing full well the people going through the site arent paying for their product, because they care more about people seeing their content than the money.
Most games like this tend to take 3-5 years to finish yes, and you may inappropriately (in possibly more cases than you think) joke about it sure, but alot of that tends to be because most of these games are made by small studios, with small teams, who simply don't have the budget to make the Full game all at once. After all they aren't AAA studio's which we SHOULD be expecting full completed games from. What sucks is there are definitly are games that take advantage of this and it sucks, but generally since most content you find on this site is totally free, something like that just seems mediocre to be upset about. But thats just me, your free to do as you do. But those of us who are waiting to see what happens will be here, with all the free content we get because of its availability here. In the mean time i hope you find something that fits your needs.

Man... I hate that (at least at present) the only options for the whole Adeline question are "accept her as your queen knowing you can never really trust her given her WoP" (not being able to put your consort on the throne is disappointing but totally understandable in-universe) or "utterly betray (politically and emotionally) a woman who at least seems to genuinely love you, if not as a partner at least as a mother"
I would kill for some sort of sensible "we will continue your line but I will rule with my chosen consort and, unless I can find a defense, always out of earshot of you"

Entirely true but I just have more fun when I can play games at my own pace without having the lingering thought in my mind that I reached the end of an update at some point.
Also why did I knew that you bring up the argument being them a small studio xD
Everytime I bring up the time issue in long ongoing projects it gets defended with this argument only and I haven't criticised the update formular at all. It is the length from starting a project to bring it to its completion that I question.
Now, you can always correct me if I am wrong I don't mind, but I do believe that 4MinuteWarning consists of 2-4 people. Heck that might not sound much but given most projects on here are one man shows they still have at the end of the day more manpower than most.

I really don't want to dump on you but you struck a nerve and yeah....Ravager going strong into possibly a decade of development should raise eyebrows and should not be just mediocre criticism.

Am I upset about free stuff? Heck no but over time interest in the game will be lost and maybe I am a supporter and concerns should be voiced regardless.
If 4MinuteWarning want to take Ravager to this extreme then so be it. Its not like I can change it or anything. I just have a hard time wrapping my head around it and will leave it at that.
